Fiorenza Bucciarelli and Dino Miglio are two eclectic artists. After the joint studies at the Academy of Brera they have been working together for a long time creating paintings, illustrations, digital works, performances.
For some years Fiorenza and Dino have opened a studio in a small medieval village in the province of Alessandria, Lerma. The studio is called ADUCH, the acronym for Atelier Du Chateau because it overlooks directly on the square of an ancient castle. There they work, they exhibit their works, they welcome the guests and prepare their exhibitions. ( more than 150 so far), in different parts of the world.
In the paintings of the artistic couple, clearly two dimensions coexist: a foreground with well-defined shapes and intense colors, with evident elements of intense realism, to which a backdrop of subtle textures counterpoints, rich in semblances to discover slowly and with emotional adhesion.
In the studio the idea of creating various collections of artistic vests was also born some years ago. These are unique garments, with a hand-painted insert each.
The fabrics used are special: silk, velvet, damask made on ancient looms, precious wool and sophisticated inserts like the silver filigree jewel buttons drawn by the two artists and others original details.
In the various collections of paintings and in those of the vests, the two artists try to create something new and original following the thread of precious textures, with the precise desire to express their particular artistic world by combining dialectically ancient mastery and modern inspiration.
Artistic Gilet / vest/ waistcoats
Or you are a work of art or you wear it (O.Wilde)
It takes many months to create it, for us is like a picture or, better, a sculpture. Or like an ancient violin to create...
It is a unique, not repeatable item, we can do something similar but not the same.
We look for precious materials and harmonious shapes: silks, damasks, jewel buttons (indian stones or silver filigree). We paint also details on canvas that armonise with the whole.
Each vest, like a picture, has a title, generally inspired by an Italian city or a particular place in it.
The project is called “Trame preziose” (precious textures). Precious are the fabrics, often from ancient factories (5 or 6 centuries of history) , the filigree buttons, handmade and designed by us, precious are the painted inserts with the play of colors, shapes, textures.
Some forms are ancient, baroque, others take up the most modern futurist inspiration: A Story of the artistic garment, retraced by an eclectic garment like the vest.
Our vests are now around the world, worn or displayed as painting by people of different ages who have found them original and unique.
